WHAT TO EXPECT
Once you've reached out to Michaela to discuss individual psychological services, the first step is a brief conversation to find out the reason for accessing the service, to ensure that Michaela is the right fit for you. A 50 minute initial session will be scheduled and you will receive some documents with further information about what to expect. The first session will look very different to what you see in the movies or on TV! You will talk over a videoconferencing app such as Zoom and Michaela will ask some questions to find out as much as she can to determine the best way to help you. If you decide to continue with therapy, you will negotiate an agreement for how therapy will progress and also decide on some goals for therapy. You will leave the first session with some strategies on how to manage your situation.
